The Cherub

The Cherub is a Multi-tube, Class-A amplifier that uses either an octal 6L6GC or a noval EL84, or both simultaneously. With both tubes running in Class-A Parallel, the cherub produces 7-watts cleanly; 15-watts screaming.

Housed within a 1960’s Zenith Radio cabinet and finished with shellac and copper, the Cherub will be cozy anywhere you want to relax and enjoy the simple, sweet harmonic tones, or at a small gig behind your pedal board.

This simple amp teats your guitar signal to a paralleled 5751 initial gain stage with independent volume controls. Then, a switchable Bandaxall tone stack allows for full sweep treble & bass controls feeds a metal-enveloped 6SJ7 Octal pentode to drive the power tubes.

The 6L6 tube will deliver a big and round sound, with the EL84 distorts musically with less effort. So the End result is mixture of the two tube’s effects to your signal.
