El Chupacabra

18 watt Lunchbox-style Guitar Amplifier
This “little Monster” is very responsive to guitar output and pick attack. Plug in a Strat and strum the strings with finesse and bask in the warm lively smoothness, but yielding a Les Paul with full on humbucking kick, and the El Chupacabra reacts violently with sweet compression and grit reminiscent of the brown coloring of its steel chassis. The experienced guitarist will immediately feel how this amplifier responds to his or her playing, which can lead to some very inspired playing.
The chassis in the Monster-Series is from a 1960’s piano tuner, not working, of course. Finished with a timeless, rustic look, it makes El Chupacabra’s appearance almost as striking as the sound and feel of this amp.

The name is based on a little brown monster in South American  folklore…  18 watts from an EL84 driven Power section with a 5751 (Smoother 12AX7-type) in the preamp and 12AT7 for the Phase inverter.  Designed from ground up in a 1960’s Piano tuner chassis.  A real light weight lunch box amp that goes from Blues to Brown!

A series of 3 amps have been constructed and are available for sale. MSRP: $1199.
